How to Use Invite List Import in Wizards EventLink

The Invite List feature in EventLink lets you quickly register multiple players at once using their Wizards Account emails or display names. It’s ideal for preregistration or fast check-in at larger events.


Prepare Your Invite List

  1. Open a spreadsheet and enter one player per row in Column A.
  2. Use Wizards Account emails (recommended) or display names.
  3. Save the file as a .CSV (comma-separated values) file.

EventLink will ignore other columns and skip any invalid or duplicate entries.


Importing Before the Event (Preregistration)

  1. Create your event in EventLink.
  2. Click "Import Invite List" before clicking "Create Event."
  3. Upload your CSV.
  4. Resolve any import errors if needed.
  5. Click "Create Event" to finalize.

Players will appear in your event's player list automatically.


Importing Day-of (Batch Check-In)

  1. Open your scheduled event and go to the Players tab.
  2. Click "Import Invite List".
  3. Upload your CSV.
  4. Verify player list and manually add anyone missing.

Use alongside Companion App codes for additional walk-ins.


Best Practices

  • Collect emails during sign-up for preregistration.
  • Keep a running list of regular players for weekly use.
  • Combine methods: Use import for bulk, Companion App for walk-ins.
  • Verify emails to avoid import errors.
